So many great books out this year, but these stand out:
1. How to render by Scott Robertson
An amazing 'how to' series, beginning with how to Draw, from one of the industries greatest instructors. These should be "must haves" for any and all artists. I wish I had these in art school, they are a complete education.
2. Lovely: Ladies of Animation
A wonderful collection of amazingly talented artists. Spanning several styles and with great narrative. This is a book I keep out on the table for inspiration and browsing. I bought this for the work of Mingjue Helen Chen and found all the artists impress.
3. 3000 moments by Pascal Campion.
A prolific, profound and amazing story teller. No one captures narrative. more so simply and with style. Each image is a gem. If you do not know Pascal's work, first get out from under the rock and look him up. with just the smallest gesture he weaves the most intimate relationships.
