This review copy is provided by book seller and distributor APD Singapore. I was at their warehouse when I spotted the book. This is not an in depth review since I did not have the time there to read through the whole book.
This is part of the John Singer Sargent catalogue raisonne series authored by Richard Ormond and Elaine Kilmurray, published by The Paul Mellon Centre. Each volume is over hundreds of pages with paintings and accompanying commentary.
Volume 7 includes the figures and landscape paintings John Singer Sargent painted from 1900 to 1907. There are oils and watercolours, finished and unfinished works.
This is the first of the other volumes that I've seen and I'm really in awe by the amount of work there are. Many I've not seen before.
If you need a comprehensive study into Sargent's career, these would be the books to get.
