Artbook publisher Taschen has just released a gigantic 3-volume set of National Geographic photographs. It's limited to 125,000 copies worldwide.
National Geographic has been doing since 1888 and the photos cover travel, wildlife, science, history, culture, and conservation around the world.
The three volumes are namely Americas and Antarctica, Europe and Africa, and Asia and Oceania. There are 1468 pages of photos and illustrations, and includes photos by Steve McCurry, Frans Lanting, George Rodger, James Nachtwey, and dozens of National Geographic staffers.
Each book comes with a slipcase which also can be turned into a bookstand. Pretty cool idea.
