Review: Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-Guri, Wild Chestnut, Dark Brown Ink

Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-Guri, Wild Chestnut, Dark Brown Ink - 01

Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-Guri fountain pen ink is a dark brown ink inspired by the wild chestnut.

Yama-Guri reminds me of Sepia ink and because of that it's really an attractive ink to use for drawing. This ink has a dark tonal value and is quite close to black.

There's some sheen going on, a gradation of colour to the strokes. But the sheen can be difficult to detect because the ink is quite dark.

For writing and drawing purposes, I think this is a wonderful ink.

Unlike other Pilot Iroshizuku ink, I can see sediments inside the ink which is something I don't usually see for dyed inks.
