The latest artist in the 3dtotal Illustrator series is Devin Elle Kurtz, a digital illustrator, visual development artist and background painter.

This is a large format 152-page hardcover packed with inspiration, beautiful artworks and tutorials. Devin Elle Kurtz talks in first person about her career, development, struggles with cyclical vomiting syndrome (CVS and of course her art. You'll notice she uses windows, water and aquariums as themes frequently and that's because she lives near the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

There's a lot of insight provided. For the tutorials, you'll learn about composition, colour schemes, painting techniques, incorporating 3D and paint over and generating ideas. This book is not all about digital as there are some traditional art featured as well. Her watercolours are as good as her digital artworks.

This is a fantastic artbook. I don't think you need to be a fan of Devin Elle Kurtz to appreciate the art.
