Book Review: Fantasy+ 4: World's Most Imaginative Artworks

Volume 4 of Fantasy+ features more commercial work, artworks that are used for advertising, book covers, games, movies and animation. So you get to see what type of work clients actually pay money for.

There's a wide ranging style of fantasy art, such as the illustrative, cartoon like, Asian, old school fantasy, and more. Some aren't exactly traditional fantasy, such as Eric Joyner's paintings of robots in jungles, or Kelly Murphy's drawings that remind me of Shaun Tan. There's also portions on sculptures, and personal portfolio.

Some of the featured artists with interviews are Nangua Zi, Bob Eggleton, David Meng, Eric Deschamps, Antoine and Kelly. All other artists provide short descriptions for their artworks.

The standard of work is high, and comparable to the Spectrum series of artbooks. So it's a great artbook to get.

The book's a 192-page paperback printed on low gloss paper.
