This is the book to celebrate Voltron's thirtieth anniversary, a well produced hardcover with shiny imprints of the titles.

I'm just a casual Voltron fan looking to read more about the history of this animation series. That's covered in the first chapter and is well researched and written first chapter. I got quite a good laugh when I found out that Toei sent WEP the TV production company the wrong shows, which was how Voltron got released. There are lots of interesting information on how the WEP sourced for titles to air and the different shows they considered back then.

The other chapters have the toys, the legend and origin of Voltron robot in the animation, the characters, planets, over 100 creature profiles and lastly a few pages of comics based on Voltron Force the animated series.

Much of the content comes from Voltron III with scant mention of other series. So it's not as comprehensive as it should be. For those following the Voltron franchise throughout, this would be a disappointing aspect of the book.

I've limited knowledge on Voltron but this book to me is a fairly entertaining read.
