She was able to show how you can achieve the same likeness by paying attention to how you draw, and she also teaches you the techniques on how to look. In just a few lessons, even before the shading stage, you can get an accurate line art portrait.

The later lessons cover shading and how to deal with all the subtle shades and transitions on the face. The result of the finished portrait is one similar to those you would see from fine art drawings.
