There's going to be a Meet-the-Author session with Chen Wei Dong at Kinokuniya Main Store (Takashimaya Shopping Centre) on Saturday, 2 June 2012, 4pm.
He's the artist for the Adventures from China: Monkey King comic series which was recently released. There are 20 volumes in all. Translated into English, it is a modern take on a timeless classic, Journey to the West, featuring the adventures of Sun Wukong.
During the session, he will be talking about the budding comic industry in China and conducting a bilingual Q&A session. It's a good chance to learn from an experience artist if you're into drawing comics.
Monkey King can be found in all Popular and Kinokuniya bookstores in Singapore, Page One stores and all major bookstores in Asia.
