Book Review: Masters of Fashion Illustration

Book Review: Masters of Fashion Illustration

Masters of Fashion Illustration is a classy retrospect that looks at the various generations of fashion designers before us, from the turn of the 20th century to the street fashion 80s.

Featured inside are the works and career biographies of 16 designers, including author David Downton. The prose is informative and interesting. The illustrations featured are beautiful and printed huge. There's a myriad of styles that are wonderful to look at. They are not just fashion designs but work of art themselves.

This 224-page hardcover is nicely constructed, a large format coffee table book with thick low gloss paper. It's a beautiful and inspiring book.
