Book Review: Miss Jisu Drawing Book 1

Miss Jisu Drawing Book 1 - 01

This book is sponsored by Superani, the same publisher that brought us the sketchbooks of Kim Jung Gi. I received a few books from the publisher that I will feature over the next few weeks.

Jisu Kim, aka Miss Jisu, is an illustrator from South Korea. She is known for her knowledge of female anatomy and figure drawing. This 224-page hardcover collects her sketches which are almost all female. These are casual drawings of the female form with pen, pencil and sometimes markers.

Her artworks have a strong manga-style which is not surprising as she majored in Comic Art. The characters she draws are beautiful and lively. Note that there is nudity in the book.

This is a nice sketchbook for those who like figure drawing or character design. The paper used in this book is thick, matte and the binding is excellent.

The book is available for sale at https://superanius.com/collections/sketchbooks
