Adebanji Alade is the most enthusiastic artist and sketcher I've ever seen. I got to know of him through his Youtube videos where he was talking about art and motivation with the fervour commonly associated with evangelical pastors. His enthusiasm raises eyebrows. Many of his videos had me going "Is he for real?". This guy is for real.
This book is a milder extension to the way he teaches online, and it's good because I'm sure some won't want a full dose of Adebanji.
This is a 128-page paperback that features mostly sketching tips that relate to drawing outdoors. There are many practical techniques and advice on drawing, a few tutorials, and plenty of examples and ideas on what to draw. It's a very hands-on and accessible book that wants to excite you into drawing.
The book's not too expensive too so it's really worth the money. It complements the many other urban sketching books that I already have.
You can check out more art from Adebanji on his Instagram page too.

I bought The Addictive

I bought The Addictive Sketcher from Kindle and finished reading it yesterday. It's an excellent addition to my stack of Urban and other sketching books.
It's a very classy publication and is fast moving, to the point and very helpful. It also conveys the enthusiasm of the author.
I recommend it highly whether you are a beginner or just need an injection of motivation.
