I have had the Tab S3 since launch for use as drawing and painting device. It has worked very well, plenty of great art apps!
I did try the Tab S4 for 2 weeks the same way and did not find as significant improvement as I had hoped, plus I prefer the finger print reader. I ended up returning the Tab S4, the extra cost is better used towards as large iPad pro.
