Update: Review for this book is available now at
When I first saw the preview pages for Timeless Racer, I was wondering why publisher Design Studio Press is releasing a photography book on cars. Seriously, a photography book? I was also wondering who actually manufactures those cars.
Then I read the book's description. Those cars aren't real but computer graphic renders.
I was blown away.
In Cosmic Motors, Daniel Simon also mixed human models with his 3D renders. That's brought to the next level with Timeless Racer.
The book's hardcover, measuring 30.5 by 35.5cm. It opens to a spread at 24 inches wide. It's a huge book. Text is written in English, French and German.
The story is one of racer Vic Cooper, who time-travels between 1916 to 2615 to compete in motor races in those times. This book is episode 1, the year 2027.
Pages will be filled with realistic visuals of the cars, races, drivers, managers and of course beautiful women. The main cars designed and featured are the 1981 Masucci X-5 and X-6, the 2027 Masucci X-7 and the 2027 Prideux -Martin MF/27.
Foreword is written by racing legend Jacky Ickx, who raced in the 1960s, '70s and '80s for many famed teams such as Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche, Brabham or Lotus. He is the only driver to have won in Formula One, Can-Am, Le Mans, and the Paris-Dakar rally.
This is an incredible book. See it to be awed.
