Baroque is the artistic style that uses exaggerated motion to produce drama. It began around 1600 in Italy and spread to Europe.
The book features The Palace of Versailles, St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, glorious libraries, gardens, among other places. There are detailed photos of the architecture, murals, paintings, sculptures and interiors.
