Sketchwalk at VivoCity (24 Dec 2011)

Sketchwalk at VivoCity (Dec 2011)

Today was the last sketchwalk in conjunction with the Urban Sketchers Singapore Vol 1 book exhibition. The book launch was on 21 Oct 2011 and today's the end of the exhibition. Time flies.

Today's sketchwalk was at VivoCity, a shopping mall in Singapore with an open air roof. It was drizzling on and off. There were sudden downpours here and there. But thankfully, the heavy rain started near to the afternoon.

Interestingly, Elephant Parade is now in Singapore. It's an organisation that raises fund to help the conservation of the Asian Elephant. One of their fund raising activities is to get artists to design the elephant installation art.

This was the first one I sketched. It's designed by Sonny Liew. I didn't know that until I saw the label.

And there's this one from another local artist called Mindflyer. I forgot to leave white space for the faces.

I finished three small 5 by 5 inch sketches. One was given away during the gift exchange at the end of the sketchwalk.

Here's a video I shot. View it in high res for extra goodness.
