I only quickly flipped through the book to avoid any potential spoilers from "AC:Revelations".

Ubisoft put a lot of work into this and it really shows beginning with the stylized ziplock bag the book comes packaged in. The cover carries embossed logos from the franchise both back and front. Content contains detailed information on of the Assassin's Creed up to the newest game release, "Revelations". Ubisoft will most likely release another book in a few years. The encyclopedia profiles major and supporting characters, in addition to places, weapons, history of the Templars and Assassins. Beautiful conceptual and official art compliment the text wonderfully.

Some of the artwork is a tad too small as the book crams as much content as possible.

Accompanying the encyclopedia is the "Cartes Blanches" which features high quality fanart prints created by professionals. I'm not sure if Amazon or other sellers includes the bonus outside of UbiWorkshop.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase as a fan of the franchise and as an artbook collector.

Great review, and Assassin's Creed is a great example of artists delving into history for this inspiration.
