Book Review: The art of Only Yesterday
This Artbook begins with an introduction in English, but all the rest of it is in japanese, although it doesn't have a big amount of text.

The book is divided in 5 acts, the first one of them talks about the manga that the movie was based, and has stills from the movie; the second act is also the second largest part of the book and is a recompilation of all the beautiful backgrounds from the movie; The third part is just a couple of pages with more stills; the fourth act is also pretty short, it only has some pre-production drawings; the final act is the largest but is just the script of the movie.

My biggest disappointment with this book isn't the amount of space that the script has, but the lack of character sheets and storyboards, and also the little amount of pre-production drawings. on the other hand the backgrounds have a great nostalgic feeling and there is a lot of them.

In the end this is a great book if you are in love with the landscapes from ghibli, or if you are a fan of this particular movie. if you aren't, this is still a pretty good book, just not the best out there.

This book has 208 pages, 130 of them are color pages
