For anyone interested in the pursuit of these volumes, this is a list of signed, numbered, or lettered editions. This is culled from my own collection, so it's vetted pretty thoroughly.

Three of the best places I've found to seek out these editions are Amazon, eBay, and Abebooks. When they don't turn up anything, I do a Yahoo! search for the book in question, which often returns some tantalizing hits.

Prices are the MSRP, NOT the current collectible price. Many of these can be found for lower than the retail, especially on Amazon and often on eBay.

At some point, I'll try to post my own review of some of these (the ones that haven't already been covered).

Thanks for the heads-up. I looked on Amazon and they're offering the signed & numbered edition at a steep discount ($58.82 versus the $100 MSRP). Needless to say, I went ahead and preordered it.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Testament usually goes for hundreds of dollars. This is the last book in the Frazetta Underwood trilogy and, as such, had the smallest print run (1200). The only thing I can figure is that they're PC copies, but I've written to Bud's Art Books to verify.

(One of these days, I'll actually post a book review.)

UPDATE - I just received Testament and it's the real deal. Not a PC or A/P copy, but a true numbered edition (mine is a rather low 102). My guess is that Bud Plant saved a few for replacement purposes, but the need never arose, so they sat stockpiled and forgotten in a corner somewhere. Instead of fleecing Frazetta lovers, Bud is clearing them out at a discount.

If anyone is at all interested in the "Frazetta Underwood Trilogy" (Icon, Legacy, and Testament), I'd get one of these before they're gone. I realize $75 is pretty high, but the retail was $150. And they are beautifully manufactured books, complete with slipcase and dustjacket.
