Looking for "landscape" art books
Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some "landscape" art books. I'm definitely not looking for postcard-art drawings to real-world landscapes--rather, I'm interested in video-game landscapes, fantasy(sci-fi, and genre etc) landscapes, anime drawings of plants and fields. etc. "Fecund" also, would be a good adjective to put on anything I'm looking for.

Here are a few examples of what I really like/am looking for (all images from Parka Blogs art books reviews, just linked to flickr source):

(Oga Kazuo Art Collection)--this drawing of the tree line is really great.

(Kusanagi 5)--so, not just your typical forest, but also things like this.

(I reposted this video mainly because of the images at 00:53 (also, the default image that shows up before you hit play)--so you can see the beds of dark leafy green plants)

Thanks ! Would be grateful for any recommendations.
PS. Thanks Parka, for a really great blog!

Are you looking for the instructional type art books.

Most of the artwork in those books are painted by poster or watercolours. Most watercolour books teach landscape/floral/buildings paintings.

As for designing, I would suggest getting inspiration from reference photos you can find online.

@PierluigiAbbondanza -- Yes, Thank you--that looks great.

@parka -- actually, I guess by postcard art I wasn't referring to medium or paper, I just meant that I wasn't interested in what some would consider cliche. "As for designing"--yes, exactly!--I'm looking for inspiration.

Not sure if Parka has a review of it up, but in regards to willas' post, if you're unsure about the book, I've got it and can post some pictures of a few pages for you to look through.
