Peek-a-Book Monday again! This week we will take a peek of a real favorite of mine. Steve Mumford's Baghdad Journal; An Artist in Occupied Iraq

"I first crossed into Iraq from Kuwait on April 15, 2003, with two French reporters, Michele Bole-Richard and Remi Sulmont. Michelle had generously offered me a seat in their rented SUV after I'd been languishing in Kuwait City, wondering how I'd get into Iraq with no contacts, a small budget, and a press pass from artnet.com, an online arts magazine to make drawings of Iraq at war."

This book is a collection of his sketches paintings and anecdotes from his experience. Absolutely remarkable.
