The virtuoso of the vector. He has designed for comics, front covers and monthly strips. He also has designed 100's of fonts.
His stylized flat and geometric art is influenced by the 60's space-age and psychedelic designers with the work horse being Adobe illustrator. Some of his strips
are also influenced by the 50's/60's animation styles - UPA cartoons UPA Cartoons.
The book provides a wealth of examples of his work. They are inspiring to look at.
The introductory text is in the most painfully small font I've ever seen. It's very clear but amazingly space constricted.
This font and size is used throughout the book. At the end Rian himself has a few pages of commentary on some of his designs.
The back cover holds a cd with fonts (most useful to me is blackcurrant)
