Book Review: Soul Calibur IV Collectible Comic and Artbook - Seth Steiner - 29-06-2011 10:42 PM So after I had something I really liked, now I have something I hate. Collectors Editions are great, especially if they have a fat artbook in it. Hey, you pay much money for it, you should get something for it right? Wrong! At least if you buyed Soul Calibur IV, all you've got was a lousy T-Shirt, a pencil without any sign on it (it looks like someone had forget it in the case) and especially this crappy "Comic and Artbook". I know artbooks which feature comics or reverse but normally they go 100 paged upward. This here has 48 pages. Half of it is a comic, other half an artbook and to be honest, it's good. Yeah really, it isn't bad at all but as I said unfortunatly it's only half of this abomination. So you see all of the characters plus sketches but that's it. The comic is also okay. A little story about Mitsurugi who encounters Hildegard and than a little fight. Nothing special. Conclusion: 48 pages aren't enough, neither if it's the whole artbook nor if it's the half. You could do that if the costumer doesn't have to pay more but unfortunatly in that case you do. Maybe Bandai learnd after this. The Witcher 2 got a freakin awesome standard edition and a cutting edge collectors edition. Ace Combat Assault Horizon will get specials like this here for pre-order without surcharge. Hopefully editions like these will never happen again.
