In 2011, Lucasfilm put out the limited edition Star Wars: The Blueprints and I blogged about it. That was limited to 5000 copies and the price ranges from $300 to $1000 depending on which numbered copy you're getting.
Now, they are putting out a more affordable edition at a retail price of US$100, less on Amazon. The content is the same.
It's authored by J. W. Rinzler who already has several star wars books to his name.
It's a 336-page hardcover with a size that's close to a 24-inch monitor. It's heavy and might incur additional shipping surcharges depending on where you're shipping to.
The book collects the concept drawings, the blueprints, basically of the mechanical stuff from the Star Wars galaxy. There's lots of writeup.
It could be good if you want to create some 3D models.
The videos below are of the limited edition. Content of the 2013 edition is the same.
