Kindle DX with $110 discount (Amazon Gold Box deal)

Today's Amazon Gold Box deal is the Kindle DX with $110 discount.

This is tempting me. Anyone who has it and can comment on its PDF reading capabilities? I already have the 6-inch Kindle but I don't mind a bigger one to read more technical books.

The only reader with a display that is actually acceptably big... and of course they don't sell it on the German Amazon. The fools! :(

there are actually several products that feature nice, large screens.

still, i am just as annoyed as you are with the situation in good ol' germany. :( my father bought a kindle, and while its kind of neat, i find it to be a not overly desirable product. way too few formats, and while you can read non-amazon books on it, i am not too fond of being tied so closely to a content provider with my reading device.
