Chancery Court (20 June 2014)

I'm not sure what the focal point is in this sketch. Probably the sun-lit side of the building and the playground between the buildings and the trees. I love huge trees that cover up the sky. It was cooling sitting under the tree even though the day was hot.

The Kremer Pigment colours used today are Pyramid-Yellow Medium, Irgazine® Ruby, Cobalt Blue Dark, Cobalt Blue Light, Phthalo Green Dark, Chrome Oxide Green and Italian Raw Sienna.

Shadow side of the building is a mixture of Cobalt Blue Dark and Raw Sienna to give a neutral gray. The sky is Cobalt Blue Light. Greens are mixed from Phthalo Green Dark, Chrome Oxide Green plus Irgazine® Ruby, with occasional Cobalt Blue Dark.

Paper is the Fabriano Artistico 300GSM CP watercolour paper.
