The picture you see above is actually of the book and its slipcase. The book itself is a paperback, 192 pages.
Atomhawk Design was founded by Cumron Ashtiani, Pete Thompson, Corlen Kruger and Steven Pick in August 2009. This book collects some personal works as well as work created for clients, for comics, videos and games. There are designs for characters, environment, storyboards and vehicles. The quality is high and the art is beautiful.
There's a nice variety of characters ranging from street thugs, warlords, girls to zombies. For the environment art, there are cityscape, Blade runner inspired streets, train stations, interiors of buildings and some sci-fi inspired pieces. The concept art looks great and believable.
The majority of the work are credited to Pete Thompson and Corlen Kruger. They draw for all types of subjects. Halfway through, I was wondering what the book wasn't titled "The Art of Peter Thomson and Corlen Kruger". So it's a rather small studio, but definitely a promising one. Looking forward to even more artists joining them.
This is a nice art book if you're into concept art.
