The non-console version comes with SecuROM. The PC version is going to be limited to 15 activations, after which you'll have to call up some office to have the installation limit reset. There's already a SecuROM discussion on 2K forums spanning over 100 pages. Check that out if you have any questions.
I'm getting the PS3 version but even that, the issue with SecuROM is putting me off. If not for the art book, I won't even consider buying the game. I wonder what game companies have learned from all these years of putting these restrictions on discs that punishes authentic customers.

I can't wait to get this next week, I'm also very happy that they decided to make a full size book for this edition, rather than the shrunken down books that have come with so many other game releases. Now if I could only find a copy of Breaking the Mold that won't break my wallet. =(

It really makes me sad to watch this video. This is like the dream collectors edition, the perfect CE. Why aren`t all collectors editions like that? If I see the concepts of Mass Effect i could imagine an incredible cool artbook. The music in the game is delicous. Except for this dumb activation thing I am only able to applaude to 2k. This is great!
