Book Review: The Art and Making of Arcane

This is an incredible and absolutely stunning artbook, and one of the my favourite artbooks released in 2024.

This is a huge 224-page hardcover with a plastic dust jacket and is published by Insights Editions. This artbook has the scrapbook style layout which I really like. The book designer Greg Ghielmetti from Riot Games has done a crazy good job with the layout. You can tell this book is a huge collaboration effort from Insights Editions, Fortiche and Riot Games.

This is one of those books that you wish you have when it's out of print and selling for $1000. It's now only less than USD 35 on Amazon.

The book is packed with beautiful art of the characters, props, sets and environment. There are so many sketches and concept paintings to see. The style is amped to the max. There's also a lot to read about the development of Arcane: League of Legends.

This book is a must-buy for fans and those who collect animation and video game artbooks. Highly recommended.

A Kindle version of this book is also available, and the digital book layout follows the physical book. The digital book is best viewed on a huge tablet or computer monitor with the Kindle app.
