The Kindle HD 8.9 inch is now in stock on Amazon USA. Finally. But other countries are selling only the 7-inch Kindle Fire currently.

I'll be getting the Kindle Paperwhite instead though. It's scheduled to ship on Dec 21st, just before Christmas.
