Hi, I was just wondering, is the first page of the book meant to be bent?

I ordered it and it has a 6cm bend which reveals Rumpelstilskin's back on the first picture.

I am attempting to return it now but because it is an even 6cm and reveals a character I was just wondering if it could be deliberate?

It probably isn't but I'd just like to know anyway.
