Im surprised you had a hard time returning your 12.9" ipad pro to an applestore for a free repair or even given a new ipad in exchange. Even out of warranty, i've had great luck returning apple items with defective innards to the Apple Stores here in the states. Maybe they do things differently in Singapore Apple Stores, i dunno. But it should be the same policy since its all part of Apple. I'd try to go back to the Apple Store and nicely tell them your battery completely died. Even out of warranty, that isn't normal. You should be compensated by Apple. It's not like a broken screen where it's your fault. This is something that went wrong inside a device thats only a year and a half old.
