Adam comes from an artistic family and had a rich and varied childhood. He was born in Berkeley, California, grew up in Portland, Oregon; Ethiopia; Columbia, Missouri; and Palo Alto, California. After graduating from Parsons The New School for Design, he move to Oakland, California, and finally to San Francisco's Inner Mission. He is now a commercial illustrator and designer working on adult and children's books, magazines, advertising and corporate work. Melanie was born in Kellogg, Idaho, and spent her childhood moving around the United States and Canada. She has a BA in English from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, earned a second degree in journalism from Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta, and worked briefly as a journalist before returning to Grant MacEwan College to get a degree in visual communication. Venantius grew up in Bombay, India. He studied advertising, design and illustration at the Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art, then communication design and computer graphics at Pratt Institute in New York. He now works as a digital artist.
